AI usage policy

Effective date: June 27, 2026.

This notice summarizes the conditions under which I may use AI-assisted tools during project work. The basic principle is simple: in client-specific work, I use AI only if the client has given prior consent, and I do not submit personal data or confidential access information to an AI system.

When may I use AI?

I use AI-assisted tools only transparently and with the client's consent for project tasks where they can meaningfully speed up or improve the work. This may include AI-assisted coding, debugging, refactoring, comparing technical solutions, preparing documentation, or generating draft copy and content ideas.

Consent

At project start or before the relevant work phase, I confirm whether AI-assisted tools may be used. The client may request that AI use be fully excluded, restricted, or limited to general, anonymized context only. Without consent, I do not use client-specific material in AI tools.

Personal data and confidential information

I do not send personal data, passwords, access credentials, private business documents, non-public client materials, or trade secrets to AI systems. If a task can be supported by AI, I anonymize or generalize inputs so that the client or affected individuals cannot be identified.

What may I use it for if you allow it?

If the client allows it, I may use AI to speed up and support development work. This can mean AI-assisted coding, thinking through component ideas or technical alternatives, finding debugging directions, performance or UX suggestions, and preparing drafts for text, content, or documentation. Final content and code are always reviewed by a human before use.

How does this work in practice?

• Before using AI, I clarify whether the client consents to it.
• I may use AI for public or general technical problems, such as component structure, debugging, or performance improvements.
• I anonymize, generalize, or omit client-specific data if AI use does not require it.
• I review, test, and professionally check code and text suggested by AI.
• I do not send access credentials, tokens, passwords, private database details, or personal data to AI systems.

Quality and responsibility

AI is a tool, not a decision-maker. I remain responsible for the final solution, the professional direction of the project, code review, and the quality of delivered work. I only incorporate AI suggestions if they fit the project goal, are technically defensible, and do not conflict with the client's interests or data protection expectations.
